Nhiem.
A photo exhibition featuring
the land and people of Vietnam opened in Brussels, Belgium, on March 21.
On display are 33 black and
white photos by Hoang The Nhiem, highlighting Vietnam's places of scenic
beauty and local people's lives.
Addressing the opening
ceremony, Minister Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium, Nguyen
Phuong Nga, extended her thanks to the event's organisers for providing
international friends with an opportunity to deepen their understanding
about Vietnam as well as the country's modern photography.
Nhiem is a member of both the
Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the International Federation
of Photographic Art. He has taken part in scores of photo exhibitions and
contests, both at home and abroad, and secured many awards and prizes.
This is the first time Nhiem
has held an exhibition in Belgium, under the assistance of the Belgium-based
Fnac company and the Lotus Gallery in Ho Chi Minh City.
The exhibition will run
through April 24. (VNA)
